Björn Andresen’s life was forever changed at the age of 15, when the young, inexperienced actor was cast as Tadzio, the object of Dirk Bogarde's obsession, in the 1971 adaptation of Death in Venice. The role led Italian maestro Luchino Visconti to dub him ‘the world's most beautiful boy’ – but his experience making the film, and how his life was shaped by its production, has come to represent a complicated narrative in the world Andresen inhabits.

Filmmakers Kristina Lindström and Kristian Petri, hopping back and forth through time and place, examine the life of the actor, whose agency, security and sense of self has been irreversibly informed by the dangerous level of fame thrust upon him at a vulnerable age.
