Advance booking is always a good idea so that our staff can readily provide assistance if required or prepare a wheelchair space in advance of your arrival. Accompanying careres are eligible for a free ticket.
Customer with Limited Mobility
The main entrance gives access to the Box Office, kiosk, bar and four of our screens. The fifth screen and main floor of the café can be accessed via a lift to the first floor. Our main auditorium (Screen 1) has six wheelchair spaces, the other four (Screens 2-5) have two each. All wheelchair spaces are positioned on the front row.
Visually Impaired Customers
Guide dogs are welcome. If you wish to take your dog into a performance, please let us know when booking so that we can arrange an aisle seat. Alternatively your dog can be cared for by a member of staff for the duration of the performance and we will be happy to provide drinking water for your dog. Screen 1 is equipped with audio descriptive equipment.
Customers with Impaired Hearing
Screens 2, 3, 4 and 5 has an induction loop. Hearing aid users should turn their aids to the ‘T’ position. Some of our screenings have English-language subtitles for customers with hearing impairments. Please contact the cinema for further information.
There are no parking facilities directly outside the cinema, however parking bays are located around the corner on Rushcroft Road. Please note that during the day these spaces fill rapidly.
Customer toilets are located on both the ground floor and the first floor. An adapted toilet for wheelchair users is located on the ground floor on the main corridor to the screens. There is an emergency call-point in this toilet should a user need to summon assistance.
Bookings and General Enquiries
Wheelchair spaces and Carers tickets are bookable online. (For Carers Tickets please see Carers section). Alternatively to book wheelchair spaces or carer tickets by phone, or for all other accessibility enquires, please call our dedicated accessibility hotline 02072 947908 (Text Relay call 18001 02072 947908).
Customers who have a disability that means that they need a companion with them in the cinema can bring them to any Picturehouse Cinema for free.
You can sign up for a Carers Card which will automatically discount one of your tickets, and which you can use – without a booking fee – when buying tickets in person, online or by telephone. The card will also mean that you don’t have to explain your situation every time you visit the cinema.
Ticket prices for customers with disabilities are according to their circumstances (e.g. adult, Member or student); the free ticket applies to their companion. The card must be used in conjunction with a paid-for ticket or a Member’s free ticket.
All customers for 3D screenings – including those using free tickets – will need to buy a pair of 3D glasses. These can be reused if you keep them.
Signing up for a card is not required, but we hope it will make buying tickets easier. It is personal to you, and may not be used by other people.
To apply for an annual Carers Card, visit any of our cinemas, call us on 0871 902 5739, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We believe that film and cinema have an increasingly important role to play within the National Curriculum, aiding pupils’ learning and development throughout their formal education.
Our London-based education team work closely with teachers and Local Education Authorities to deliver a diverse year-round programme of screenings, talks and workshops, all carefully designed to complement the National Curriculum at different levels and develop young people’s cine-literacy skills.
Our education department, working on behalf of Picturehouse venues in Brixton, Clapham, Greenwich, Hackney, Notting Hill and Stratford, currently offers the following screenings and events for Primary, Secondary and post-16 pupils.
To join our schools mailing list email the Picturehouse Education team specifying Primary, Secondary or Post-16 and the borough within which your school is situated:
