At East Dulwich Picturehouse & Café, we’re as passionate about food as we are about film. Walk into our beautiful site on Lordship Lane and you’ll find our sparkly new kitchen staffed with enthusiastic, highly trained chefs working hard to present delicious home-cooked dishes.
Our seasonal menu changes every few months, and every day you can find an exciting array of specials depending on what’s available and at its tastiest. We think fresh is best, so our chefs make every dish from scratch.
We’re also committed to sourcing our ingredients locally. If you just fancy a nibble, our bar serves home made bar snacks, charcuterie from Cannon and Cannon, UK cheeses from and hand-made cakes. For those with larger appetites, our main menu includes hot dogs, super seasonal veg, and meats from local butcher W Bunting in Peckham Rye as well as our lovely neighbours William Rose Butchers.
Dishes, teas and cocktails are all seasoned using herbs grown on our very own roof garden. As we move into spring, you may find yourself relaxing in our courtyard garden and looking up to catch our chefs cultivating these herbs. Our focus is on British, mostly native species, but we’ll be trying some new esoteric varieties too.
We’re keen to be a community space, catering for everyone. We welcome families and our children’s menu features firm favourites alongside weekend specials. We serve everything from light bites and gourmet popcorn munchies to main meals. So pop in for a drink and a snack, a light lunch, or a full spread followed by a film. Whatever you have, we promise it will be fresh, well-seasoned, beautiful and it won't break the bank; especially with 10% off for all our members.
Customers who have a disability that means that they need a companion with them in the cinema can bring them to any Picturehouse Cinema for free.
You can sign up for a Carers Card which will automatically discount one of your tickets, and which you can use – without a booking fee – when buying tickets in person, online or by telephone. The card will also mean that you don’t have to explain your situation every time you visit the cinema.
Ticket prices for customers with disabilities are according to their circumstances (e.g. adult, Member or student); the free ticket applies to their companion. The card must be used in conjunction with a paid-for ticket or a Member’s free ticket. All customers for 3D screenings – including those using free tickets – will need to buy a pair of 3D glasses. These can be reused if you keep them.
Signing up for a card is not required, but we hope it will make buying tickets easier. It is personal to you, and may not be used by other people.
To apply for a Picturehouse carer card, please take proof of eligibility to your nearest Picturehouse and a member of the team will set up your card. If you need additional information or advice please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our customer service hotline on 020 7326 2649
