A little haven tucked away on Venn Street, our cosy bar serves up delicious pies from esteemed pie makers Pieminister - a perfect complement to our great selection of wines and local beers.
This page explains the current facilities for people with disabilities and is intended to assist you in planning your visit.
Advance booking is always a good idea so that our staff can readily provide assistance if required. Accompanying carers are eligible for a free ticket. We will be pleased to reserve wheelchair spaces or seats in any particular part of the auditorium if this is helpful. Please contact us in advance.
Customers with limited mobility
The ground floor is accessible to customers with limited mobility including wheelchair users. The Box Office, café-bar, kiosk, toilets and Screens 3 and 4 are all located on the ground floor. There are two wheelchair spaces in both screens. We regret that at present there is no lift and Screen 1 can only be accessed by ascending a staircase of 20 steps. Access to Screen 2 involves a further staircase of 23 steps. Our café-bar has an adapted counter for wheelchair users.
Visually impaired customers
Guide dogs are welcome. If you wish to take your dog into a performance, please let us know when booking so that we can arrange an aisle seat. Our staff will be happy to provide drinking water for your dog. Our stair rails have bumps on the side to indicate the number of steps approaching each level. Three bumps mean that you are on the third step from the landing, two bumps that you are on the second step and one bump that you are on the final step. Large-print film schedules are available on request.
Customers with impaired hearing
Induction loop systems are fitted in each of the four auditoria. To access the system, you will need to turn your hearing aid to the 'T' position. Certain performances carry subtitles and these are clearly indicated in the programme.
Screen 1 - aisles are located next to seats numbered 7 and 16
Screens 2, 3 and 4 - aisle is located next to seats numbered 1
Blue-badge holders are permitted to park in Venn Street just outside the cinema. However, Venn Street is closed and pedestrianised Friday - Sunday. On these days we recommend using the adjacent Brommell's Road
There is a wheelchair-accessible adapted toilet on the ground floor. There is an alarm cord inside should you need to summon a member of staff.

Customers who have a disability that means that they need a companion with them in the cinema can bring them to any Picturehouse Cinema for free.
You can sign up for a Carers Card which will automatically discount one of your tickets, and which you can use – without a booking fee – when buying tickets in person, online or by telephone. The card will also mean that you don’t have to explain your situation every time you visit the cinema.
Ticket prices for customers with disabilities are according to their circumstances (e.g. adult, Member or student); the free ticket applies to their companion. The card must be used in conjunction with a paid-for ticket or a Member’s free ticket.
All customers for 3D screenings – including those using free tickets – will need to buy a pair of 3D glasses. These can be reused if you keep them.
Signing up for a card is not required, but we hope it will make buying tickets easier. It is personal to you, and may not be used by other people.
To apply for an annual Carers Card, visit any of our cinemas, call us on 0871 902 5747, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We believe that film and cinema have an increasingly important role to play within the National Curriculum, aiding pupils’ learning and development throughout their formal education.
Our London-based education team work closely with teachers and Local Education Authorities to deliver a diverse year-round programme of screenings, talks and workshops, all carefully designed to complement the National Curriculum at different levels and develop young people’s cine-literacy skills.
Our education department, working on behalf of Picturehouse venues in Brixton, Clapham, Greenwich, Hackney, Notting Hill and Stratford, currently offers the following screenings and events for Primary, Secondary and post-16 pupils.
To join our schools mailing list email the Picturehouse Education team specifying Primary, Secondary or Post-16 and the borough within which your school is situated:
