ACCESSIBILITY AT THE PHOENIX

Advance booking

Planning your visit in advance is always a good idea so that our staff can readily provide assistance if required. Accompanying carers are eligible for a free ticket via the CEA scheme. We will be pleased to reserve wheelchair spaces or seats in any particular part of the auditorium if this is helpful. Please contact us in advance.

Customers with limited mobility

Both auditoria are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. Please note wheelchair spaces are limited. There is a lift in the foyer to help wheelchair users with the change of level from the foyer to the corridor that accesses both auditoria. Please ask a member of staff if you would like to help with the lift. We regret that there is no lift access to the first-floor bar. If you would like to take a drink from the bar into the film with you and are unable to use the stairs, please ask a member of staff and your drink will be brought down for you.

Customers with impaired hearing

Certain performances carry subtitles, and these are clearly indicated in the programme.

Toilets

There is an adapted toilet for wheelchair users, which is accessible from the main cinema foyer. There is an emergency call point (the red hanging cord) inside should you need to summon assistance.

Assistance Dogs

Autism-Friendly Screenings

Autism-Friendly Screenings are screenings which create an environment that is welcoming for people with a range of conditions such as autism, learning disabilities and cognitive disorders. Sound levels are turned down, the lights are left on at a low level and there are no trailers or adverts at the beginning of the film. Audience members are welcome to take a break from the screen, make noise and move around as needed. Autism-Friendly screenings run on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 11.00 and tickets are £3 per person.
