We reduce food waste in our kitchens by consolidating our ordering practices. Working with our main supply partner Brakes, we have managed to move a lot of our deliveries onto the same lorries to reduce transport miles – plus, Brakes also collects our kitchens' used oil and converts it to Biofuels.
What's on your table – or alongside your popcorn – is growing more sustainable too. We're always seeking UK-based brands to add to our collection, with B-Corps like Candy Kittens and Jude's Ice Cream leading the way. We've recently changed to a new sourdough for our toasties from the Bread Factory using wild-farmed, regenerative flour. It's not only delicious, but it's helping to save our soil.
We stock Thirsty Planet water, dedicated to bringing clean water to communities across sub-Saharan Africa. On every bottle or pack of Thirsty Planet sold we guarantee a significant, fixed donation to Pump Aid, a fantastic charity that provides cost-effective, sustainable clean water to those who need it most.
We sell Camden Town Brewery and Brixton Brewery draft beer across most of our sites, which is transported in reusable metal kegs and served in glass. We sell more draft than any other cinema chain in the country. We also have top-notch organic wines, including Vinuva Pinot Grigio and Argento Rose (which is also Fairtrade).
Our coffee supplier Grumpy Mule works under the Gold Standard guarantee for Fairtrade and sustainable practices. Plus, we stock Pepsi and Firefly iced tea in glass bottles at select sites, and we're working on our licences to allow glass in all our screens as part of an effort to reduce single-use plastics.
We understand and are committed to our role in fighting consumption habits for a more sustainable future. If you've seen anything that you'd like to improve in our cinemas, please get in touch at [email protected], we'd love to hear from you.
