This page explains the current facilities for people with disabilities and is intended to assist you in planning your visit.
Advance booking is always a good idea so that our staff can readily provide any assistance you require. Accompanying carers are eligible for a free ticket. We will happily reserve wheelchair spaces or seats in any particular part of the auditorium if this is helpful.
Screens 1 and 2 are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. There are four wheelchair spaces in Screen 1 and two in Screen 2. Unfortunately, Screen 3 is not accessible to wheelchair users, as entry is up a small number of steep steps.
There are steps up from the foyer into the bar inside the building. There is level access to the bar from the street through the Lochrin Place entrance.
Unfortunately, due to the city centre location there is very limited on-street parking with time restrictions. Paid-for parking facilities including multi-storey car parks are available in the general area.
Guide dogs are welcome at The Cameo. If you wish to take a dog into a performance, please let us know when booking so we can arrange an aisle seat. Large print programmes are available, please ask a member of staff.
Certain performances carry Hard Of Hearing (HOH) subtitles, and these are indicated in our online and printed programme. All three screens are fitted with the Williams Sound hearing assistance headset system; please notify a member of staff if you wish to use a headset or induction loop compatible with a hearing aid.
There is a fully accessible separate toilet for wheelchair users opposite the doors to Screen 1. There is an emergency call-point (the red hanging cord) inside should you need to summon assistance.
On the second Friday of every month* we hold our Dementia Friendly screenings. These are open to all but especially for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers. Join us for free tea / coffee and biscuits from 10.30 for a chance to socialise before the film, and then make your way to the cinema for 11.00 start.
* dates may vary during Holidays, please refer to our website for the most up to date film times.
Wheelchair spaces and Carers tickets are bookable online. (For Carers Tickets please see Carers section). Alternatively to book wheelchair spaces or carer tickets by phone, or for all other accessibility enquires, please call our dedicated accessibility hotline 02072 947908 (Text Relay call 18001 02072 947908).
