Welcome to The Big Members' Vote

Here at Picturehouse, we love hearing from our Members about what you've enjoyed seeing at our cinemas - so we asked you which film you'd love to see on the big screen the most. After a hugely successful first round with over a thousand suggestions coming through, Cinema Paradiso triumphed and was shown in cinemas in early August.

We're now opening the ballot again to pit five of the most popular entries against each other. You can vote now HERE and the winner will take its big screen victory lap on Sunday 26 September (with Members' tickets costing just £5).

THE CANDIDATES

ALIENS

A classic which I was too young to see on the big screen, but the stunning visuals and sound effects, plus cracking characters and zinger lines, have lost none of their power - would be awesome on the big screen.

- Graeme Baldwin, East Dulwich Picturehouse & Cafe

BLADE RUNNER

It is so prescient. Not just the way so many later films draw on its design and atmosphere, but in real life - the power of corporations, the societal divisions. It's also a great thriller with an ending to debate later.

- Sarah Pond, Picturehouse Central

CASABLANCA

Enjoy the romantic chemistry between Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart and revisit the many lines which entered our collective memory. Play it, Sam. Play As Time Goes By.

- Johanne Kübler, Arts Picturehouse, Cambridge

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST

Sergio Leone's direction and Ennio Morricone's score combine to make this film the most romantically immersive sound and vision experience in film history.

- Peter Schrank, Cinema City, Norwich

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY

I have become quite obsessed with Stanley Kubrick. I am especially jealous of those that had the chance to see 2001 at the cinema for the first time. It must have been quite an experience.

- William Sykes, The Ritzy, Brixton
