SHOWTIMES AND TICKETS

Big screens. Bigger laughs. Join us at The Attic at Hackney Picturehouse for a monthly night of fresh comedy from some of the most exciting names in the game!

There’ll be quality jokes, plus delicious food and drink waiting at our bar. (If all else fails, you can at least go and see a film instead.)

We're delighted to welcome Finlay Christie, Cecily Hitchcock, Helen Bauer, and MC Raul Kohli to our next night of stand up comedy on Saturday the 19th of September.

Finlay Christie
Finlay misguidedly believes that his muggers fancied him, that being a f*ckboy is cool and that Kim Jong Un would love him. Funny, self-aware and internet-brained, this is an hour about the myths constructed by incels, billionaires and even human people, that mean we don’t have to admit we’re ordinary, rejected or wrong. There’s also a strong section on air fryers. As seen on social media (1M+ followers), Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
'The voice of a generation' **** (Chortle.co.uk).

Cecily Hitchcock
Cecily Hitchcock is a comedy siren, crowd enchantress & heckler annihilator. Her unique mix of outlandish anecdotes and off-beat observations have gained traction both online and on stage. Cecily is an accomplished live M.C and her sketches and stand up videos have amassed over 25 million views on social media and have been featured on Ladbible, The Sidemen & Brewdog. She is making her highly anticipated Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2026 with her show ‘Family Recipe’.
“Outstanding” – The Independent
“Hot” – Katherine Ryan

Helen Bauer
Helen Bauer, started making comedy sketches in London and Berlin, when she lived there, and came to prominence as a finalist in the 2018 BBC New Comedy Award. Her debut show, Little Miss Baby Angel Face, was nominated for best newcomer in the 2019 Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Award. She made her debut on Live At The Apollo in 2021.

Raul Kohli
Raul Kohli is one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. Growing up Indian in Newcastle upon Tyne, he’s developed a worldview that playfully upends ethnicity, culture and class, combining what The Scotsman called “superb political comedy” with surreal storytelling. His debut show was selected as a top pick of Edinburgh Fringe 2016 by BBC Radio 4, The Huffington Post and The Skinny.
He was nominated for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2019, and his 2024 Edinburgh Fringe show (Ish Awards) was hailed by Chortle as “one of the most important shows of the fringe,” with jokes featured in The Guardian and The Daily Mail’s Top Ten of the Fringe.
