After Miss Marple reports witnessing a murder on a passing train, the authorities can find no sign of the corpse and think that the old woman has imagined the whole thing.
Undeterred, Miss Marple sets out to find the body. Taking on the job of housekeeper at the spooky Ackenthorpe Hall, she draws on all her skills of deduction and a hell of a golf swing to work out whodunnit.
The first of the 1960s Miss Marple films starring the magnificent Margaret Rutherford, Murder She Said combines suspense, mystery, and a good dollop of comedy.
LOCO is thrilled to be joined for a post-screening recording of the hit podcast The Swinging Christies with writer and Agathologist Gray Robert Brown. We will be talking about whether Christie adaptations should ever be funny.
