Join us for an evening course at The Little to discuss La Haine and its influence in contemporary cinema.
The session explores how France's diasporic communities are represented on screen.
Focusing on reading key sequences from the film, we will discuss the role of hip-hop and rap music in the film to highlight the alienation of the communities living in the French banlieues. The session will contextualise the film, as well as discuss how the film's blend of styles and music attest to its importance in French film history.
