Cine Chat is a new series of informal film discussion clubs which focus on different themes, directors, and actors.

All Cine Chat sessions are hosted by film writer James Clarke and take place on Saturdays between 2-5pm.

Each session costs £10 per person.

This discussion club session will explore a number of fascinating books about movies, exploring why they’re such interesting reads.

The five film books that we will look at will be: 'Film Art: An Introduction' by David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson, 'David Lean: A Biography' by Kevin Brownlow, 'Animated Man' by Michael Barrier, 'A Hundred Years of Japanese Film' by Donald Richie, and 'Jane Campion' by Ellen Cheshire.

During the session, James will share excerpts from the books for discussion. You do not have to read these books for the purposes of the session.
