Shorts On Tap presents FOR THE LOVE OF ROMCOMS - A SELECTION OF COMEDY SHORTS Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, at Hackney Picturehouse,

Shorts On Tap is excited to return to Hackney Picturehouse, our home in East London, with FOR THE LOVE OF ROMCOMS: A SELECTION OF COMEDY SHORTS — a feel-good evening celebrating love, laughter, awkward encounters, and all the chaos in between. This special screening brings together a curated selection of romantic comedy short films from emerging UK and international filmmakers, each offering their own unique take on modern relationships, missed connections, heartbreak, and happily-ever-afters.

Following the screenings, join us for Q&As with attending filmmakers as they share insights into the inspiration and creative process behind their films. Come celebrate the art of #ShortFilm with us at Hackney Picturehouse. Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or just here for the laughs, FOR THE LOVE OF ROMCOMS promises an entertaining night of charming, funny, and heartfelt storytelling.

We look forward to seeing you there! Launched in November 2013, Shorts On Tap is now on of London’s leading short film communities. Active all-year-round with monthly screenings, for the past 13 years Shorts On Tap has presented hundreds of short films and documentaries at sold-out events across the capital, becoming the place-to-be for London’s independent filmmakers.
