As part of the Experience Economy module, students from the University for the Creative Arts take over the cinema for one night only, turning a traditional screening into a bold, student-led cinema event.
From the moment you arrive, the world of Marty Supreme begins to extend beyond the screen. Expect interactive touches, moments of surprise, and creative ideas unfolding before and during the film, designed to make the evening feel social, energetic, and a little different from a standard screening.
This event celebrates creativity, community, and collaboration — with fun very much at its core.
Set in 1950s New York, Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) is a fast-talking, street-smart optimist stuck in a dead-end job selling shoes from his uncle’s cramped apartment. But Marty has a plan: to become a champion table tennis player and turn the sport into a national phenomenon — and absolutely nothing is going to stop him.
A young man with a dream no one respects, Marty goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.
