The Holdovers + Christmas Party at the Club Room

Celebrate the instant Christmas classic that is The Holdovers – and soak up some wintery ’70s vibes – at our special ‘Christmas Party’ screening at the Club Room! All guests will get a themed cocktail on arrival, a Christmas present from us (perfect for the grumpy academics and wayward teens in your life) and more festive fun on the night.

From acclaimed director Alexander Payne, The Holdovers follows a curmudgeonly instructor (Paul Giamatti) at a New England prep school who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas break to babysit the handful of students with nowhere to go.

Eventually he forms an unlikely bond with one of them – a damaged, brainy troublemaker (Dominic Sessa) – and with the school’s head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam (Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph). 

Over the course of a tumultuous winter, the snowed-in trio become something like a family.

Finsbury Park's Club Room is a welcoming, social event space with cabaret-style seating and tables, ready for you to enjoy a curated food and drink menu. 

Doors will open 30 minutes before your event's advertised start time, leaving plenty of time to get comfortable and place any orders.  

Please be aware that table service will take place during your event, and that as each table seats four, you may be seated with other guests.
