Named after the Spanish word for a religious pilgrimage, Romería (2025) follows 18-year-old Marina (Llúcia Garcia), who, orphaned at a young age, is now piecing together a past she never truly knew.
Arriving on the Galician coast, she turns her camera toward the ocean—its surface shimmering with anticipation, where the line between reality and wish fulfilment feels paper-thin. Like every journey, doubt and hope walk side by side, but this Romería radiates such warmth it might just be the most heartfelt homecoming of the year.
