In a secluded northern village on the island of Carpathia, a shy farm girl named Yuri (Helena Zengel) is taught not to go outside after dark: an elusive animal species known as the Ochi lurk in the shadows.
But when she discovers a wounded baby ochi has been left behind, she escapes on a quest to reunite him with his family.
