Become a memberOn the final day of the London Australian Film Festival we present the UK premiere of the vital, uplifting documentary, LIKE MY BROTHER, which follows four young Tiwi Island women as they set out to break into the professional leagues of Australian Rules Football. Shot over six years, this coming-of-age story follows Rina, Freda, Julianna and Jess on their journey from the community of the Tiwi, to Melbourne and a return to their island home, as they dare to dream of becoming stars in the national game, and the newly established AFLW. This is a tale of sport as a force for change and a bridge between worlds as the girls encounter triumphs and disappointments before defining success on their own terms. This screening will be followed by an in-person Q&A with cinematographer and editor, Archie Chew. Australian snacks and sweets will be on sale, and a raffle will be held before the screening. With thanks to Sal Balharrie.
