Please join us for the Closing Ceremony of the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival on Sunday 29 June.

You are invited to celebrate the end of two weeks bringing important stories under our 2025 Festival theme of Belonging, Being and Becoming to Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool and London. 

The Ceremony features the presentation of the Festival’s Paulette Wilson Award to honour champions of justice for the Windrush Generation, the Menelik Shabazz Award to recognise an up-and-coming British filmmaker of African Caribbean heritage, and our awards for Best Short Film, Best Documentary and Best Feature Film.

We think you will be so delighted to learn of our winners!

After the awards, you are invited to celebrate with refreshments at the Upstairs Bar. 

Photos and interviews will capture the evening. Come to help us champion Windrush Generation stories through our Festival in 2026 and beyond.
