First shown at Harbour Lights in February 2020, Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite would have been one of our biggest films of that year even if we didn’t close for over half of it. A huge crowd-pleaser, Parasite’s sharp satire, stunning direction and twisting script led it to becoming the first film not in the English language to win the Academy Award for Best Picture – and, more importantly, to become the runaway winner of our HAR30UR LIGHTS poll.
