Season 1, Episode 5: The One-Armed Man The investigation progresses as Agent Cooper questions Laura's psychiatrist, Dr. Jacoby, who has some suspicions of his own. Meanwhile, Gordon Cole, Cooper's supervisor, calls in; mill owner Josie Packard spies on Ben Horne and Catherine Martell; Deputy Hawk tracks down the One-Armed Man from Cooper's dream; and Audrey Horne decides to begin her own investigation. Season 1, Episode 6: Cooper’s Dream Agent Cooper, Sheriff Truman and company have tea with eccentric local the Log Lady, who tells them there was another suspicious man around on the night Laura died - and leads them to discover a macabre crime scene in the woods. James and Donna take Madeleine Ferguson, Laura's doppelganger cousin, into their confidence.
