After the screening we'll be joined by directors Jeremy Deller and Nicholas Abrahams for a Q&A, hosted by photographer Tom Hunter.
We'll be screening 'Artists in Residence' (32min) as part of the programme, introduced by Pete Smith, a long term Beck Road artist and resident who features in the film. Made by the BBC Community Programme Unit in 1988, it documents Beck Road artists and residents within their homes.

The Bruce Lacey Experience is an intimate look at the career of the artist entirely in his own words Lacey was a massively influential and disruptive presence on British art from the 1950's -to his death in 2017 his work encompassed but was not limited to, Robotics, Children's play environments, experimental electronic music and Rituals around sacred neolithic sites . The film shows Lacey working into his 80's.
