Refuge Charity Screening: Legally Blonde

Your honour! You’ve been summoned to be a witness at our charity screening of Legally Blonde - with all money made from tickets going to our partner charity Refuge…

Reese Witherspoon shines as the ebullient Elle Woods, a fashion merchandising student, sorority queen, Gemini vegetarian, who enrols at Harvard Law School in an attempt to prove herself after getting dumped - and in doing so cracks the case in defying stereotypes in this iconic 00s comedy. You’d have to be a complete bonehead to miss it.

That weekend we’ll also be holding a charity poster sale at our sister cinema, the Duke of York’s Picturehouse to fundraise.

Picturehouse first partnered with Refuge in 2019, a longstanding UK charity that supports women and children against domestic violence. We have raised money through bake sales, poster sales, film screenings, a donation of hot drink sales, and encouraging our incredible audiences to donate at our kiosk and via our Text-To-Donate trailers before the start of each film.
