A Bunch of Amateurs CFF
12A 95 mins
United Kingdom, 2022, 95 mins.
DIRECTOR: Kim Hopkins
WITH: Colin Egglestone, Harry Nicholls, Joe Ogden, Philip Wainman
Taking home the Audience Award from this year's Sheffield DocFest, Kim Hopkins introduces us to one of the oldest amateur film clubs - the Bradford Movie Makers. Made up of British working-class artists, many heading into their nineties, they regularly reconvene to discuss their glory days, shake off the chill of isolation in the digital age, and reminisce about their love of cinema. This documentary creates a beautiful sense of belonging, and celebrates the bonds formed over a wild shared dream.
The Cambridge Film Festival is presented by the Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK.
