Co-directed by Saul Williams and Anisia Uzeyman, its focus is on an intersex African hacker and a coltan miner who attempt to overthrow a regime that’s bent on exploiting the region’s natural resources and its people. With gorgeous, eye-popping cinematography, stunning costuming, and catchy music that unveils itself organically throughout the narrative, Neptune Frost is bursting with creativity and imagination from its very first frame that’s impossible to deny.
