In a daring debut, director Agnieszka Smozcyńska presents us with Silver and Golden – two mermaid sisters who end up on the river bank in Warsaw, sometime in the late 1980s. Through their eyes, we witness a lavish (but also hellish) underground cabaret, where they become the new main attraction. Yes, one of them falls in love with a boy. Yes, she wants to lose the tail and become human for him. The Lure is The Little Mermaid as you’ve never seen her before.
