A small town girl with a big voice, Ali (Christina Aguilera) is following her dreams and setting out for Los Angeles. When she stumbles upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theatre, she lands a waitressing job from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headline act. The Burlesque’s dazzling costumes and equally bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue – and she sets out to make her way all the way from behind the bar to the front of the stage.
