In a crime-ridden, dystopian Detroit, lone good cop Alex Murphy (Peter Weller) is terminally wounded in the line of duty. But doctors from the all-powerful OCP Corporation piece him back together, transforming him into RoboCop: an unstoppable crime-fighting cyborg.

Equipped with high-tech weaponry, RoboCop quickly cleans up the streets. But despite his new steel exterior, memories of his former life as Murphy resurface in the form of vivid nightmares.

Only his ex-partner Lewis (Nancy Allen) stands beside him – to fight against the vicious thugs responsible for his death, and to track down a nefarious OCP executive orchestrating the chaos from above.
