A genre-defying documentary, Flee tells the story of Amin, a successful academic with a loving partner who fled from Afghanistan to start his life in Denmark.

The film’s approach sees Amin and his long-time friend in conversation as animated characters – bringing not only themselves, but their homes, and even the recording equipment into the frame. Many moments during Amin's journey and that of his family, who tried but failed to make the same passage, are depicted in exquisite detail.
