Vinyl Sisters Special Night with Special Guests  Original Moa Anbessa International and Naoko the Rock alongside Vinyl Sisters Kaya M and Debbie Golt.

Vinyl Sisters branch out inviting special guests into the fold for a night of rare and vintage sounds tempered with some brand new crisp biscuits. Original Moa Anbessa International, Naoko the Rock, Sista Lexxy and Vinyl Sisters Kaya M and Debbie Golt. The monthly Vinyl Sisters with Outerglobe Femxle DJ Relay night at the Ritzy attracts a musical crowd who relish the finest all vinyl Reggae of many styles and the most open hearted vibes and this event promises to be of the same high calibre.

Vinyl Sisters co-hosts Kaya M and Debbie Golt invite long time friends to join them on a musical journey . Special guests Original Moa Anbessa International - Wolfman and Man Fi Bill - have been in demand sound spinners and weavers since the mid 70s with some of the rarest original roots and classics to their name including their own productions and toasting how it always is meant to be; Naoko the Rock, originally from Japan, has an unrivalled collection of sounds from the 60s focusing on ska and bluebeat with Rocksteady in the frame as well; Sista Lexxy tells it how it is in a righteous way with her strong irie songs and intuitive MCing, an artist of choice for many Sound Systems with her fine voice and wicked humour.

Kaya M plays bold sets, favouring message music with exclusive RITS (Room in the Sky) prereleases peppering her sets and recently opened for Abashanti and Debbie Golt still has many of the Roots records she bought from Reggae shacks when she began playing at Rock Against Racism events the same year Moa Anbessa launched in 1977 has played internationally in fine style as wel with rewinds aplenty.

Vinyl Sisters + Outerglobe Femxle DJ Relay - Every Third Wednesday of the Month

Vinyl Sisters with the Outerglobe Femxle DJ Relay has the best vinyl Reggae out there! Sets played by a mix of experienced and upcoming womxn DJs, gathering a loyal crowd and welcoming new people every third Wednesday of the month. 

If you are a womxn with a great Reggae vinyl collection and would like to play in the Relay, please do get in touch with Debbie Golt or Shirley Slattery via the Outerglobe page on Facebook. It doesn't matter if you have never played in public before, they are here to guide you every step of the way!
