This will mark the seventy-fifth birthday of Steven Spielberg; the director of Jaws, of course, which was his first of many blockbusters – he was born in December 1946. After the screening, there’ll be an onstage interview and an audience Q&A with Ian Shaw, son of the actor Robert Shaw, among the film’s key cast members.
He’ll discuss his father’s work on Jaws and how he adapted Robert’s diaries into the acclaimed play, The Shark is Broken. It runs in the West End from October to January and is based on the making of Jaws.
When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.
