Spark is Britain’s first true storytelling club. Welcoming true stories in a friendly open-mic style atmosphere every other 1st Wednesday of the month. Sit back and listen, or sign up on the night to tell your own story!
The theme for the night on Wednesday 7th October is "Haunted".
What haunts you?
A place you can't forget.
A decision that changed everything.
A voice that still echoes.
A coincidence you still can't explain.
A ghost from your past—or perhaps something stranger.
Or maybe a genuine paranormal experience.
Join us for an evening of true, personal stories on the theme of "Haunted." Stories can be funny, moving, mysterious, bittersweet, or chilling - but they must be true.
Whether your story is about an eerie encounter, lingering grief, an unforgettable relationship, family history, recurring memories, or the things that stay with us long after they're gone, we want to hear it.
Come to tell a story, or simply come to listen. You'll leave with a room full of unforgettable moments - and perhaps a few new things to haunt your imagination.
Every story is true. Every haunting is different.
At Spark’s open-mic nights there are just three rules: your story has to be true, it has to have happened to you (not someone else) and it should be around 5 minutes long. We welcome storytellers of all abilities, from practised performers to nervous first-timers. Storytellers can sign up in advance or on the night.
