Spark Storytelling Open Mic

Spark is Britain’s first true storytelling club. Welcoming true stories in a friendly open-mic style atmosphere every other 1st Wednesday of the month. Sit back and listen, or sign up on the night to tell your own story!

The theme for the night on Wednesday 1st April will be "Rules".

What rules have shaped you?
The ones you followed. The ones you broke. The ones you didn’t know existed until it was too late.
Because apparently we can’t just do whatever we want.
Join us for a night of true, personal stories about the rules we followed, bent, misunderstood, ignored, or confidently broke while saying, “It’ll be fine.”
Come to laugh. Come to cringe. Come to remember why that rule definitely existed in the first place.

At Spark’s open-mic nights there are just three rules: your story has to be true, it has to have happened to you (not someone else) and it should be around 5 minutes long. We welcome storytellers of all abilities, from practised performers to nervous first-timers. Storytellers can sign up in advance or on the night.
