    18.30 Barbara Stone Tribute screening : Our tribute screening for Barbara Stone, co-founder of The Gate Cinema and Cinegate Film Distribution who has recently and sadly passed away. Cinegate distributed foreign cinema and independent feature films. Its first acquisitions were three features from German auteur Rainer Werner Fassbinder including FEARS EATS THE SOUL, the first time his films were shown in the UK. Cinegate also distributed debuts by Derek Jarman, Marleen Gorris and Ben Lewin, and found success with films by Wim Wenders, Woody Allen, Bernardo Bertolucci, Francesco Rosi, Nagisa Oshima and Jonathan Demme. There will be an extended introduction for this screening.
