In 1970s Las Vegas, low-level mobster Sam 'Ace' Rothstein (Robert De Niro) becomes the face of the Tangiers Casino, an operation he leads to billion-dollar success.

His business partner, the fiery Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci), provides the muscle – but Nicky's a loose cannon.
