King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword 2D
Director: Guy Ritchie
Starring: Charlie Hunnam, Annabelle Wallis, Daniel Stisen, Jude Law. UK 2017. 126 mins.
In the first of six films slated to cover the legendary medieval ruler, director Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the Excalibur myth, chronicling Arthur’s rise from the streets to the throne.
When the infant Arthur’s father, King Uther, is murdered, the wicked Vortigern (Law) seizes the crown. With no idea of who he truly is, Arthur (Hunnam) grows up the hard way on the Londinium streets until he draws the magic sword from its stone and discovers its power. Forced to acknowledge his true heritage, he must overcome his demons to defeat Vortigern and take his rightful place on the throne. As in Ritchie’s other work, the pace is relentless, and in a film destined to kick-start a mighty franchise, the action sequences and special effects just keep coming.
Contains infrequent strong language, moderate violence, threat.
