Widows

Director: Steve McQueen
Starring: Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson, Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya, Cynthia Erivo
Duration: 130 min

From Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen (12 Years A Slave) and co-writer Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) comes a blistering heist thriller set against a backdrop of crime, passion and corruption. This contemporary reworking of the ’80s TV miniseries tells the story of four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities. In a time of turmoil, tensions build when Veronica (Davis), Linda (Rodriguez), Alice (Debicki) and Belle (Erivo) take their fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms. Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluuya, Liam Neeson, Brian Tyree Henry and Robert Duvall round out the brilliant cast.
