Join us for this very special screening of the Marx Brothers comedy masterpiece Duck Soup with live performance from comedian Howard Read!

Howard Read is an award-winning writer and stand-up comic. He specialises in writing and performing family and children’s comedy for stage and TV. Howard is best known for his unique creation Little Howard. He had his own show, Little Howard’s Big Question which ran for three series on CBBC, BBC1 & BBC2 and won the Writer’s Guild Award for Best Children’s TV script in 2011. Howard has contributed to Danger Mouse, Dennis and Gnasher Unleashed as was recently nominated for a BAFTA as part of the writing team of the EMMY-winning Horrible Histories.

Howard has written a 30 minute performance specially for this event to introduce the film. The performance will be at once hilarious and informative, demonstrating just why the Marx Brothers brand of comedy is still so funny and influential.
