Starring: John Cena, Hailee Steinfeld
Duration: 114 min
Travis Knight (Kubo And The Two Strings) is in the director’s chair for the most human Transformers chapter yet, a girl-and-her-car story cut from the same cloth as the hit kids animation The Iron Giant.
It's 1987, 20 years before the events of the first Transformers film, and Bumblebee is on the run. When teenage Charlie (Steinfeld) stumbles upon the yellow Autobot, damaged and run down, in an old junkyard in a small Californian beach town, he’s the perfect eighteenth-birthday gift she gives herself. After Bumblebee reveals his true robot form to Charlie, the two strike up a remarkable friendship. But Sector Seven, a government agency headed up by Agent Burns (Cena), seeks to track down Bee and Charlie, and the pair learn that other Transformers – far more dangerous than Bee – roam Earth and do not wish them well.
Contains moderate fantasy violence.
