Luna Silva & The Wonders

Duration: 210 min

Shaped by her travels and by the circus world in which she grew up, Luna Silva combines her colourful and shining voice to the sound of the double bass, the guitar, percussions and her ukulele. Based in Paris, they have just finished recording their first album.

From the island of La Reunion, through India, Sweden, the United States or Burkina Faso this global citizen makes of her multicultural and musical research one her most creative assets. Sung in three languages, her personal compositions fuse with ease and dexterity. From jazz to world music, folk or pop, Luna Silva charms us with her ethereal and generous melodies. Let yourself flow with these sounds from afar, free and bold.

There will also be a short screening before the live music magic begins!

"Cak and Cuk" is a short documentary on the use and history of two musical instruments named the Cak and the Cuk. Also named the "Indonesian ukuleles", Luna Silva, ethnomusicologist, takes us on a journey through Jakarta, Solo, and Yogyakarta to discover these instruments, their music, their use and context.
