LMFF: Roundtable Discussion w/ Coram, IOM UK & MSF
Coram will present a film which has been co-produced with Coram’s Young Citizens, an ambassador programme for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, alongside specialist educators from Coram Life Education.
Young Citizens is made up of young people from countries including Afghanistan, Sudan, Ivory Coast, Eritrea, Indonesia and Ethiopia with varied experiences and backgrounds. What brings them together is their desire to make a difference to the lives of others.
The film explores belonging from the perspective of children and young people born both in and outside the UK and aims to increase understanding of issues facing migrant and refugee young people as well as improve the experiences of migrant and refugee children in schools.
Following the screening there will be a roundtable discussion that will focus on young refugees within the refugee crisis. This will involve a few different speakers from organisations coming to present their work, including IOM (International Organization for Migration), Doctors without Borders and Coram.
This event will be co-hosted by IOM UK.
