Catch a Fire: Kareem Shabazz & The Ryddim Kings

2017 is surely the breakthrough year for Kareem Shabazz & his five piece Ryddim Kings, who seem to be the hardest gigging and most talked about reggae band in London right now. In Kareem’s words “playing live is where it’s at” and their musical range and confidence suggests that right now there’s nothing they can’t take on. They go from driving roots, to the 21st century rocksteady of self-penned track ‘Dirty Dancing’, using Big Youth’s immortal ‘Sky Juice’ rhythm. This band just get better and better, so don’t miss their first appearance at Catch a Fire, and make sure you reach early!

With DJ and curator Zinc Fence on the classic and rare 45s, from reggae and ska, to dancehall.
