Brixton Craft: Springtime Etching
Drypoint etching is a beautifully simple technique that anyone can try their hand at. With just a piece of perspex and a hand made engraving tool we will be crafting some wonderfully organic printing plates. Once your plate is ready with your chosen image, water based ink will be scraped and pushed over the whole thing. It’s then rolled over and over again with hand held rollers to impress the printed image onto your paper. It’s a very simple but super effective method of printing and it’s always a nice chilled atmosphere at these sessions. Come along for a glass of wine or a coffee with a slice of cake and be creative with your hands at the same time!
Brixton craft is the last Sunday of every month, trying different crafting techniques each month with host Olivia Mansfield.
* It’s fun for all the family but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. *
