Full Metal Jacket 30th Anniversary+Jan Harlan Q&A

Marking thirty years since its release, with Soundstage Events we present a special screening of Stanley Kubrick’s Vietnam War classic. Following the screening, there’ll be an onstage interview with its Executive Producer and Kubrick’s brother-in-law, Jan Harlan, discussing the making of the film and working with the legendary director. There’ll also be a chance for audience members to put questions to him.

Based on the novel The Short-Timers by Gustav Hasford, Full Metal Jacket is a gripping, brutal and a highly acclaimed account of U.S. marines through their gruelling training and then serving in gruesome street battles within the Vietnamese city of Hue.

Long-term Kubrick collaborator Jan Harlan was also the Executive Producer of the director’s films Barry Lyndon, The Shining and Eyes Wide Shut, as well as A.I. with Steven Spielberg.
