Part of our June series of Edinburgh Festival previews at the Attic ...

Catriona Knox: Work In Progress

Following sell-out runs with Edinburgh shows 'Catriona Knox Thinks She's Hard Enough' and 'Player', Catriona is returning to the fringe this year with a brand new, high-octane hour of indomitable, warrior-like comedy.

Catriona has recently appeared in REVOLTING on BBC2 as part of the core cast. She's also been in DAMNED on Channel 4, playing the role of Sophie and BOOMERS on BBC1.

She's also known for playing News Reporter Emily Surname in Charlie Brooker’s WEEKLY WIPE Series 3 and Charlie Brooker's ELECTION WIPE.

Her audio drama 'Almost like Being in Love,' written by and starring Knox, will be on BBC Radio 4 later this year.

Her 2014 Edinburgh show CATRIONA KNOX THINKS SHE'S HARD ENOUGH at the Pleasance Attic was picked as a highlight of the festival and had some brilliant reviews. It went on to have a sell-out run at the Soho Theatre.

'Fearless and bold in performance, imaginative and offbeat in inspiration, and razor-sharp in her writing, Knox is a formidable comic powerhouse who’s produced a ridiculous riot of a show. It’s a blast.' Steve Bennett, Chortle

'However much energy you can pack into an hour, it’s likely not as much as Catriona Knox. Bouncing through a joyful set of character comedy, she gives us such perfectly pitched creations as an austerity-themed television chef and a scathing parody of TED talkers.... Every hour should be this much fun.." Three Weeks

Tessa Coates: Work In Progress

Tessa is one third of Massive Dad (**** ‘Hilarious’ - The Guardian) and this year she's performing her debut show. Armed with an absolutely useless degree in Anthropology and some very big questions about how we got here, ‘Primates’ is a comedy show about what it means to be human and how everyone needs to calm down.

Tessa has previously been seen on @elevenish (ITV2), Comic Relief (BBC1), Coconut (BBC3) and Nish Kumar’s Christmas Cracker (Sky Arts), and heard on Newsjack (BBC Radio 4), The Lentil Sorters (BBC Radio 4) and the Doctor Who audiobook ‘And You Will Obey’ (Big Finish Productions).

Massive Dad have two smash hit Edinburgh shows and a sold-out Soho Theatre run under their belt, and have been called ‘Stars of the future’ - The Daily Mail, ‘Outstanding’ ***** - ThreeWeeks, and ‘Hilarious’ **** - The Scotsman. Tessa doesn’t think she can quite live up to that and would very much like you to come and hang out with her.

'I love Tessa Coates' - Caitlin Moran.
