Yusuf is released from prison after serving 4 years in a youth detention centre. On release, his family don’t want to know him apart from his brother Ramazan who sets him up in the family run motel on the highway leading to Iran. This debut feature from Turkish director Omar Atay is a powerful statement about guilt and honour set in the Muslim community. With strong performances from the leads, Atay slowly peels away the layers to reveal the truth of the family.
