SEN3 (Live) Feat MCs Crafty893 + Namesbliss

London based guitar trio SEN3 are playing original music for their debut album The Drop featuring a unique collaboration with renowned Grime MC’s Cratfy893 and Namesbliss. Reworking some classic grime with their own unique signature sound.

As jazz-informed music takes over the mainstream, an exciting new genre-surfing guitar trio have emerged from London’s musical melting pot: SEN3 – a.k.a. guitarist Max O’Donnell, bass guitarist Dan Gulino and drummer Saleem Raman. Since forming in 2014 the band have created a compelling widescreen sound-world that’s rich in melody and emotive harmonies, contemporary beat-culture and heavy riffs, all shot through with telepathic interaction on stage and in the studio. With credits as in-demand sidemen for such world-class artists as David Gilmour, Jamie Woon, Jessie Ware and Kaidi Tatham, the trio developed their sound through a two-year residency, nurturing their musical chemistry as a tightly knit guitar/bass/drums unit.

Exploring some deep-rooted jazz and fusion influences the band began to stretch out, reinventing classic songs such as ‘The Message’ by Grand Master Flash, Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirt’ and Radiohead’s ‘Ideoteque’. Synthesising these sounds, via the large-scale flourishes of Pink Floyd and Weather Report and the heaviness of Led Zeppelin, the band have also embraced heavy grooves and immersive hypnotic soundscapes.

Releasing their debut album The Drop in early 2017 to rave reviews and plenty of radio and media attention from Jazz FM, BBC Radio Scotland, Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show, Jazzwise Magazine, Dublab and, the band are now writing and recording new material with an EP in mind for 2018.
