GW Jazz: Nihilism + Anjelo Disons & The Oracle

Duration: 210 min

GW Jazz & The Oracle Present:
Feat. Nihilism + Anjelo Disons & The Oracle

Jazz and Soul come together as never before! GW Jazz collaborate with experimental progressive jazz outfit Nihilism and talented singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Anjelo Disons & the Oracle to bring the hottest live music event South of the river.

Nihilism is a collective that explores the sound aesthetic of eclectic musical genres. A fundamental value we share about expression is that one creates the meaning they desire behind their artistry- thus the name ‘Nihilism’. Formed in the summer of 2016, Nihilism has already made its mark on the London scene. Having performed at Royal Festival Hall, London Jazz Festival, Hootananny Brixton & more.

They are currently recording their debut EP, which will be released later this year.

Anjelo Disons. Extraordinarily gifted, with words that are wise beyond his years, Anjelo is a talent that is undeniably over spilling with heart and soul. Aged 14 and armed with his own guitar, he began his journey busking on the streets of South London. Here he steadily built up a local following for his outstanding live performances, playing and honing his skills with the Oracle collective, leading to him supporting award winning soulstress Bridget Kelly and spoken word artist Alysia Harris. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist presents us with masterful soul music, sprinkled with heartwarming melodies, guitar riffs and a hint of jazzy scatting. Definitely a voice for the future.

GW Jazz is a promotion and Events Company established in 2009 by Gordon & Gillian Wedderburn in South London. Its core activities center on supporting and showcasing emerging current UK music & musicians through various media, in addition to the promotion of jazz and world derived music and events. With live event residencies in SE London & Soho, a popular online radio show, a clothing line and dj sets across London, the outfit makes a solid contribution to London’s vibrant music scene.
