Stephen Frears and screenwriter Alan Bennett depict the realities of gay life in ’60s London in this classic ’80s drama. Gary Oldman and Alfred Molina star as controversial playwright Joe Orton and his partner Kenneth Halliwell. As Orton scales literary heights and Halliwell struggles to keep up, they descend into an increasingly tumultuous relationship, with devastating consequences.
